An interview with Avery - any day, any time, the answer is always the same ::

S/L - Avery, do you think the baby in Mommy's tummy is a boy or a girl?
A - Baby brother.
S/L - And what should we name baby brother?
A - Sister.

Two conversations between Avery and the baby ::

(While sitting on the floor with me, playing with an angel food cake pan)
S - Avery, do you want to say something to the baby?
(Avery took the tube part of the pan and held it up, megaphone style, to my belly button)
A - This is Avery.

(While sitting on the couch together with Daddy, watching a camera tips dvd)
S - Avery, do you want to say something to the baby?
(Avery leaned in to talk right into my belly button again)
A - Avery's watching a show.  I miss you!  Bye!  Click!

That one made us laugh ... sounded just like her many fake phone calls throughout the day!
While a lot of things feel the same about this pregnancy, there are still a lot that feels so new.  One of these is being witness to Avery's beginner understanding of what it all means ... and that's been a lot of fun.
